In 2021 WV Department of Environmental Protection (WVDEP) invested around 4.5 million dollars to clean up the Century Number 1 area. The picture above is a representation of the actual treatment facility that was installed. The facility treats grey water from a large Septic tank which collects the solids. After treatment of the grey water is complete it is pumped to a GeoFlow field which is about the size of two football fields.

This system serves about fifty households at this time.

Century Volga PSD personnel went to class and obtained the proper license to maintain the system.
